[Beautiful Kate - On audition] “My audition was weird, I just remember Rachel looking at me really weirdly and then when I walked out the door she was almost following me and I thought oh cool, that must be a good thing, and it was!”

[Beautiful Kate - On found out she got the part] “I went through about 7 emotions – I started crying and then I was happy crying and then sad crying, I don’t really remember what went through my head, it’s just so surreal, it’s still surreal.”

[Beautiful Kate - On Kate] “Kate’s crazy and confident and I’ve always wanted to play a role like that. Kate changes into a woman in the film. She starts her period and all that stuff that every girl goes through but without her mother it’s a bit harder, she doesn’t have anyone to talk to and no one to tell her that she’s alright, so she latches on to her brother to help make her feel normal.”

“I have a favourite bracelet that I always wear that I bought for my Mum and Dad to wear as well. It has a small owl on it that symbolises that we are all looking over each other.”

“I take my camera everywhere, I really enjoy photography, I shot bands before I started acting. Music’s a big part of my life and I really enjoy collecting vintage records. The keyboard was a present for my birthday a few weeks ago. I’m a self-taught player and I write my own songs.”

“Once a camera is there, I’m like, ‘Bang!’ but meeting people, yes, I’m awkward and I get really nervous.”

“At the end of year 12 I got Beautiful Kate so I left to do that. My mum is always keeping an eye on what´s happening in the film world, and she found an ad calling for auditions and said ´Hey, you should do this´. So I auditioned and got it. It was a good excuse to leave because I really hated school. It was really competetive and I didn´t fit into the environment.”

“It´s weird that I´ve done so many films already. If I think back I can´t believe all the stuff I´ve been doing. It´s all a bit unbelievable and a bit of a dream. But when I think about it, I´ve always been really positive about doing something in the industry and getting there. You have to be really positive. I think that´s the key.”

“I just love being someone else with another actor being someone else, and out of nothing you make all these sparks between you. It´s like doing magic together, and I get a real rush after a scene that I couldn´t live without. It gives me that feeling of ´this is why I´m doing it!´”
